This position supports the mission of Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Facilitates the development, implementation and ongoing adherence of sepsis program protocols and therapies. Ensures the protocols and therapies become the standard of care followed within the facility. Collaborates with medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with a diagnosis of sepsis. Provides education and clinical expertise to care team, patients and families. Collaborates with physicians and staff in an effort to decrease mortality and length of stay. Collects and analyzes sepsis program patient data to assist with documentation, clinical care and improved outcomes. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master's preferred.
  • Three – Five years (3-5) clinical experience.

Special Qualifications:

  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and problem solving skills.
  • Possess PC skills in a windows environment, specifically EXCEL, WORD, and PowerPoint.
  • Must like to work in a high performance environment and have a proven track record of success.
  • Must have the ability to design and develop performance measures, experience in data analysis and statistical processes.
