COUGAR CONTRACTING LLC is seeking a ROADWAY SUPERINTENDENT. This role provides management oversight and leadership for all phases of roadway construction projects, including coordinating employees, equipment, materials and subcontractors and maintaining relationships with the client, while ensuring that contract documents are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget. Verifiable experience in this position within this industry required.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinates subcontracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure conformity

· Carries out inspections as needed

· Responsible for daily planning, creation, and maintenance of project schedules, including subcontractor specialty schedules and short interval schedules

· Supervises and organizes workers; ensures workers are available and fully qualified to perform assigned duties

· Schedules crews according to available work packages for the project and all required equipment and materials necessary to complete tasks. Monitors timely delivery of necessary materials to assure continued productivity

· Responsible for controlling costs, adhering to budgets, and managing equipment-related expenses. Ensures staff is aware of production rates for assigned items of work

· Conducts regular safety meetings; maintains a safe work environment with the goal of keeping accidents and injuries to a minimum and complying with company and regulatory safety procedures. Complies with EPA requirements for hazardous materials

· Assists project management team ensuring compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of the city, state, and federal government applicable to the project

· Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate portions of the jobsite quality, safety, and production plans; ensures maintenance of all records in accordance with project standards

Qualifications:

· 10+ years of experience in a Roadway Superintendent role required

· Highly motivated and team oriented

· Current Florida resident preferred

· Valid Driver's License for 3 consecutive years and clean driving history required

Compensation: Based upon knowledge and qualified experience.
