In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for 5% premium pay for positions located in King County.

This position is located approximately 30 minutes from downtown North Bend, WA at the Washington State Fire Training Academy.

Fire Training Academy

The Fire Training Academy is the premier live-fire training site in Washington State that provides critical live-fire and public safety training in a safe and controlled environment.

Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Primary office support maintaining office by answering phones, directing customers and handling correspondence.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with the agency's Correspondence Manual.
  • Maintain files and records in accordance with retention schedules.
  • Ensure public disclosures are redacted in accordance with the agency rules.
  • Assist with divisions SharePoint page.
  • Proofread and edit all documentation.
  • Attends and transcribes minutes for meetings.
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures.
  • Provides administrative and secretarial support.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver's License.
  • Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated skill in preparation of official correspondence and reports.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to apply agency policies and procedures as they apply to assigned duties.
