Buena Vista University has an opening for a Sr. Financial Specialist. This position is a critical link in communicating with Online students and providing excellent student service to prospective, new, and current students regarding the financial components for enrolling at BVU. While serving as a liaison with the Office of Financial Assistance and Business Office, this person will assist students by providing information on all the financial aid options available to fund their education, guiding the student regarding necessary financial documents, and ensuring the student is aware of payment plan options and deadlines.
Skills: Experience with spreadsheets, database management,and accounts receivables; knowledge of the financial aid process, excellent student service skills, close attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks, superior relationship building, and communication skills is desired.
Bachelor's degree or ability to earn a degree within the first three years of employment is required. The cost of tuition to pursue a bachelor's degree is funded by BVU if enrolled in a BVU degree path.
This position can be based on the BVU Storm Lake campus or at a BVU office located on one of our community college partner’s campuses – Estherville, Fort Dodge, Mason City, Ottumwa, or Creston.
