Job description
. Performs a variety of routine chemical productions and process developments with limited direct supervision.
  • Performs and completes unsupervised routine productions within expected deadlines.
· Utilizes knowledge and skills to improve procedures and scale-ups under very limited supervision. Understands chemical principles, techniques and measures individual progress of assigned projects.
· Understand techniques and progress of projects.
· Evaluates his/her experiments and quality control measures regarding all aspects of production and offers suggestions for improvements to supervisor.
· Is able to search basic literature and carry out guided research and development within a reasonable deadline.
· May attend meetings, seminars, and/or other educational opportunities to gain and improve chemical and technological background.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for maintaining a clear and detailed lab book.
· Responsible for maintaining neat, clean and safe work area.
· Performs other duties of similar complexity as directed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Ability to manage priorities and workflow
· Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
· Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of chemistry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with 5-10 years experience or
· Master’s degree in Chemistry with 2-5 year of experience or
· PhD in Chemistry with 0-5 years of experience.
