About this opportunity:
Ensure systems, processes, personnel, data, tools, metrics, and programs are in place and function such that reliability, availability and excellent customer service are all performing effectively and efficiently to deliver on company goals. Work with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified instrumentation. Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. Participate in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical AML suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria. Participate in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications. Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems as pertaining to the Instrumentation department. Define, design, develop, monitor and refine an Asset Care Plan that includes: value-added preventive maintenance tasks; effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems. Provide input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation. Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. Participate in hazard risk analysis including Hazard and Operability Reviews (HAZOP) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA). Review installation drawings and purchase specs for all new analyzer systems and ensure they conform to Lima Refinery specifications.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor – Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree;
  • Five (5) years experience in the position above, as a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer, or instrumentation role in a related oil and gas industry;
  • Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
  • HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and Risk Management
  • Production planning, maintenance planning, and OPEX planning
  • Factor Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for equipment, instruments and control systems
  • U.S. and Canadian crude pipeline systems
