Egencia Chat Team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team of experienced software developers. The Chat Team's responsibilities span front-end web development to back-end travel services. We are looking for someone who can leverage their deep technical knowledge, passion for solving real-world business problems, and dedication to innovative thinking to ensure Egencia continues to be the technology leader in the corporate travel space.

- As one of the senior most technical minds in the India Development Center, influence our technical evolution journey by pushing the boundaries of possibilities and demonstrating its value.
Be a Technical Leader:
- Architecting large scale transaction processing systems, architecting solutions with large number of integrations with third party systems, building and supporting large scale applications on cloud.
- Experience of architecting & building core capabilities of SaaS Platform
- Participate regularly in code and design reviews, drive technical prototypes and actively contribute to resolving difficult production issues.
- HandsOn Technologist who loves to Code.
Be a Learner:
- Quick learner and a thought leader in the technology architecture space so that design of platform is futuristic and enables changes as per market needs and advancements in the technology space
- Self-starter who can work with speed and agility in a start-up environment, ability to take ownership and deliver with minimal supervision.
Be an Influential Technical Leader:
- Ability to articulate architecture principles, design considerations, future roadmap and engage with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to understand the market needs and align the architectural roadmap of the platform in an efficient and cost-effective manner for commercial viability.
- Presents new technology choice to technical and non-technical observers, able to guide others to make well defined technology choices.
- Innovate for our Customers - take a long-term perspective to build systems and features.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of any Object Oriented Programming Languages (Java, C#, Kotlin) is required
- Strong experience of front-end web technologies including JavaScript, Node or React
- Excellent problem solving and strong communication skills
- Experience supporting the infrastructure and deployment pipelines of applications
- Prior experience as a Software Engineer mentoring junior engineers and applying new engineering principles to improve existing systems including leading complex, well defined projects
- Communicates with transparency and precision, presenting complex information in a concise format.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members in different time zones
Experience and Qualification:
- 6+ years of developing and delivering highly available enterprise web applications in Java development environment is a must.
- Bachelor's/Master’s in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.

Location
The base salary range for this position in this location zone is from $159,000 to $222,500. The range provided includes the base salary that Egencia expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
