POSITION LOCATION

Williston, ND.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical servicing and upkeep of all equipment, performing routine scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems, and performing necessary repairs under the supervision and according to company operating procedures in a safe manner. The mechanic must pass the Company driving tests and requirements for employment.

Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Performs diagnosis for problems on various types of equipment, based on reports from the field, using the appropriate diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
  • Performs required repairs based on troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
  • Performs routine scheduled maintenance work, including engines and transmissions.
  • Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, belts, conveyors, fans, air conditioners, etc.
  • Disassembles/reassembles equipment, and repair or replace broken parts, as well as clean and lubricate parts.
  • Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures and inspections, including DOT annual inspections.
  • Works in the shop or in the field, depending on work assignments or work location.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
2.1EDUCATION AND TRAINING
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet hiring criteria for utilizing a company vehicle
  • Must have and be willing to use own tools
  • Basic knowledge and skills in equipment/vehicle repair or preventive maintenance.
EXPERIENCE
  • 1+ years’ experience as a certified mechanic or a similar capacity.
  • Must have experience and aptitude in rebuilding, inspecting, and repairing equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, engines, and transmissions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate safe work habits and work well with others.
  • Basic keyboarding or other small motors.
  • Operation of heavy equipment or vehicles.
  • Certification from the trade or technical school in maintenance or repair (preferred).
  • Valid Class A CDL, with manual shift experience, a satisfactory driving record (preferred).
PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Lifting/pushing objects of 50 lbs. maximum.
  • Climbing or working in awkward or cramped.
  • This position requires working nights and/or weekends.
  • This position requires the employee to be on-call 24 hours per.
