Job Summary

Under the direction of the President of the College of Nursing the Simulation Lab Coordinator collaborates with other departments within MVHS in performing duties essential to the achievement of the departmental goals for simulation. The main purpose of this position is to function as a coordinator and resource person and to all necessary personnel for the Simulation Lab.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Establishes and monitors procedures for signing out Simulation Lab equipment and movement of simulation equipment from one lab area to another.
• Maintains the simulation inventory system by ensuring the completion of an annual inventory of the Simulation Laboratory.
• Prepares requisitions and ordering of supplies as needed in the Simulation Laboratory.
• Ensures the safe storage of hazardous material including medications.
• Determines the inventory needs for the Simulation Lab and scheduling the use of the lab/ equipment with all program.
• Manages simulation laboratory procedures, location and use of materials, and the operation of equipment.

Education/Experience Requirements

Required: High School Graduate with medical field experience
Preferred:

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required: BLS Instructor, PALS Instructor, ACLS Instructor
Preferred:
