We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to:
- participate in the CICS/MQ Engineering Rollout process and SMP/E maintenance of these and associated products (CAFC, IBM CICS Performance Analyzer and Interdependency Analyzer)
- develop end to end CICS/MQ configurations spanning multiple platforms, with an emphasis on z/OS
- develop documentation to describe each requested configuration using Microsoft Word and Visio
- liaise with requestors where necessary to obtain documentation approvals and to discuss any issues arising from their requests
- provide support to test teams following configuration deployment where required
- troubleshoot and remediate configuration issues found during testing

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Transaction Reliability pod in Weehawken NJ with a flexible two-day home, three days in the office.
Our team focuses on managing CICS/MQ systems and infrastructure components for enterprise, mission critical, computing environments under occasional guidance. Our team also provides support services for CICS & MQ administration, performance tuning, monitoring and capacity planning, and builds transaction processing infrastructure to support the business environment. We recommend, develop, and enforce policies and procedures for maintaining the security and integrity of data, implement small development projects or components of large projects. Our responsibilities include managing a three way highly available SYNC and ASYNC storage replication solution and embarking on designing, implementing an effective Cyber Solution strategy to protect our client’s data and system files.

Your expertise
- ideally 7-10 years of experience as CICS/MQ Engineer focused on a large z/OS SMS environment
- good technical skills in WebSphere MQ on z/OS which must include some knowledge of MQ Clustering, SSL, and Queue Sharing
- good technical skills in CICS on z/OS which must include knowledge of latest CICS technologies such as Liberty/JVM Servers, Web Services, CICS Transaction Gateway, TLS Certificates, and High Availability setup
- possess good general PC and MS Office skills
- be a team player with good organizational and communication skills
- have the capacity to quickly grasp an understanding of all the processes necessary to achieve the allotted tasks
- have good written and verbal communication skills in English, German is an advantage
- interact well with both Business and IT personnel, ability to solve medium to complex problems
