Sr. Marketing Manager
The Sr. Marketing Manager located in Redwood City, CA reports to the Assistant Vice President of Marketing supporting all aspects of the Provident brand. This position has a broad range of managerial duties including: developing and executing all tactical marketing plans for Provident Credit Union, leading the Marketing Operations staff, maintaining relationships with strategic partners, and coordinating, deploying, and evaluating the results of Provident's multi-channel and cross-platform integrated marketing campaigns to members and potential members.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for managing the accomplishment of the Credit Union's long-term objectives, strategies and policies, relevant to the Marketing Operations team.
  • Manage the implementation of Provident's digital marketing strategy, including testing, optimization, and deployment of display ads, search, retargeting, SEO, email, and social media campaigns.
  • Oversee that all initiatives outlined in the Marketing production calendar and blocking chart are on schedule and produced according to the marketing production timeline standards with input from the VP and other department stakeholders.
  • Manage the Operations team: Marketing Operations Specialists (2), Marketing Operations Specialist, Graphic and Web Designers (2), and intern(s). Oversee weekly Operations meetings.
  • Proactively analyze all marketing campaigns (direct mail, digital, web) to determine effectiveness and recommend areas of improvement.
  • Manage all media planning, trafficking, and ad production. Media channels include: television, radio, digital. Work with Provident vendors to place buy orders and develop media Review invoices to ensure contracted buys are met. Ensure all content and creative assets are provided to media and digital partners.
  • Manage operations and activities in the content management system including images, videos, articles, landing pages, CTAs/hero ads, A/B testing, and SEO.
  • Manage all marketing efforts for premier partnerships.
  • Ensure all marketing material adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Complete a monthly Operations report for the AVP of Marketing.
  • Manage the Marketing JIRA queue for the Operations team.
  • Manage all contractor relationships.
  • Ensure all marketing material is routed within project management platform and approved by relevant departments
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complete required BSA & OFAC training Understand and adhere to BSA and OFAC policy and procedures.
  • Maintain and adhere to Marketing Operations procedures.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing and digital marketing-related experience with at least 5 years of management experience
  • Must have experience managing a small team
  • Be a leader in the development and execution of integrated marketing programs and campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and integrate diverse organizational functions while motivating others to achieve corporate goals and meet member needs
  • In depth knowledge of digital marketing and advertising concepts and KPIs
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively in developing campaigns
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends, determine campaign effectiveness, calculate ROI, and use data to improve campaign performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing partner and agency relationships
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience working with a content management system (Kentico CMS is a plus)
  • Clear, concise, and persuasive written and oral communication to maintain a consistent voice within the Provident brand
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus
  • Working knowledge of marketing and advertising concepts and rules and regulations as they apply to marketing financial products is a plus
