• Perform power conversion, power management, and energy engineering design and analysis related to conversion of nuclear fission power to thermal or electrical power for terrestrial or space applications. .
• Perform calculations in relation to thermal-hydraulics, power conversion, & heat rejection for steady state and transient conditions.
• Perform engineering design calculations, specifications, process diagrams, & procedures for the development of power systems for our advanced reactor conceptual and preliminary designs.
• Perform engineering of test specifications and test plans to validate models and parameters.
• Identify and define technical issues and challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution.
• Bring engineering rigor to resolution of problems that are sometimes loosely- or only partially-defined, requiring knowledge and experience within given discipline.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to and collaborate with other personnel including partners including laboratories or subcontractors.

• A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
• Advanced Degree preferable or minimum of 2 years of experience required
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an US Government security clearance.
• Experience working in a laboratory is preferred (performing testing and experiments).
• Familiarity with modeling and analysis tools (ANSYS, MOOSE-tools, RELAP, etc)
• Strong computer skills, proficiency in using LINUX (capable of running jobs using super-computers) and proficiency in computer programming/coding.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks and perform tasks under pressure
