PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support for local and remote CIVCO employees as a member of the Information Technology Department.
  • Communicate effectively with users to determine and resolve a range of problems and requests in compliance with established service level agreements.
  • Perform hardware & software installation, upgrades, and problem resolution to facilitate CIVCO employee's day-to-day productivity.
  • Share ownership for the process of creating, maintaining, and removal of employee accounts and computers.
  • Share ownership for the endpoint lifecycle process including, but not limited to, the planning and monitoring of endpoints required for planned new hires, on-hand inventories (safety stock) as well as planning for the acquisition of replacements as equipment leases expire.
  • Being an integral part of Cybersecurity efforts; always standing firm by enforcing foundational controls, policies and processes that continually evaluate and immediately address threats and minimize risk to the business.
  • Participate and contribute to the ongoing IT optimization processes.
  • Serve as a technical consultant resource to other support technicians for problem resolution and the teaching of new skills.
  • Continue to update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology of hardware, software, and Operating systems.
  • Routinely partners with departmental leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to highly technical challenges

Education and/or Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with desktop and laptop support
  • 3+ years of experience with current Windows Server Operating Systems
  • 3+ years of experience with LAN/WAN networking.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in relevant field

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Must be a team-player, self-starter, goal oriented, open minded, flexible and a people oriented professional with extreme attention to detail.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, Microsoft PowerShell, Windows 10/11 OS, Windows Server OS (up to and including 22), MS Office 365 (including Teams, Teams Telephony, OneDrive and SharePoint Online), Outlook client setup with Exchange, VM Ware and remote-control software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Edge/Google Chrome browsers, Remote Access Software Products, LAN/WAN product support required.
  • Experience in developing solutions to problems and follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing reported issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required.
  • Communication of highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to use professional concepts, and creativity to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude (working on computers, servers, laser printers and label printers)
  • Demonstrate ability to provide technical leadership to others within the group.
  • Demonstrate ability to help define hardware requirement for future and present needs.
  • Must have the ability to effectively solicit the support of appropriate individuals and groups.
  • Must be willing to work on nights and weekends as needed and assume rotational on-call duties for nights and weekends.
  • Must be willing to travel to remote office locations including supporting international location(s) on a regular basis.
  • Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication Software, Microsoft WSUS, SD-WAN technologies, Microsoft Licensing, Firewalls and IBM iSeries (AS/400), are all considered to be a plus.
