The Universal Banker / Teller is responsible for providing an exceptional in-office client experience by handling clients’ non loan sales and service needs. Ensure clients feel welcome and provide them with a great experience when processing transactions and fulfilling their financial needs. Time spent in various aspects of this role will vary depending upon office traffic and needs and the roles / talents of other teammates in the office. The proportion of time spent on each activity will vary day to day. Our goals are to utilize and develop your talents.

Retain and deepen existing client relationships through a needs based service and selling approach. Deliver exceptional client experience. Establish new banking relationships ensuring clients are offered all products and services that are appropriate given their financial needs and goals. Provide account servicing and maintenance, and assist with problem resolution for clients in accordance with all established procedures and regulations. Process transactions accurately, assist with operational activities and responsibilities, and maintain flexibility between performing teller and sales and service related transactions. Assist and support clients with bank technology including on-line, and mobile banking.

Preferred Qualifications

· Possess skill, ability, aptitude and willingness to deliver good client service, perform routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and basic sales functions as well as process teller transactions

· Minimum one year experience as a Teller with Apex Bank or with another financial institution where you have developed the following skills: service, sales, cash handling and processing of payment transactions

· Minimum of one year experience performing client service needs

· Communicates well with team members and clients

· Demonstrate the ability to engage and interact confidently with clients

· Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve clients’ financial needs

· Cash handling and/or payment transaction experience following established processing procedures and controls

· Great Team Player, which is best demonstrated by helping other team members

· Ability to handle a variety of tasks and prioritize during the course of a business day

· Commitment to advancing knowledge of sales and service techniques and product knowledge to better serve personal and business clients

· Consistently follow defined procedures for bank operations and client service behaviors that contribute to delivering an extraordinary client interaction

· Maintain client and bank confidentiality

· Handling and assisting with client sales opportunities with additional activities related to service needs based on the overall needs of the office

· Knowledge of risk management and loss prevention, and knowing when and seeking supervision and/or assistance for more complex platform tasks

· Satisfies regulatory requirements for holding the position

· Positive attitude and initiative. Willingness and ability to contribute to projects

· Ensure compliance with internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies and practices

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Language: English required;
