2nd Shift Hours: 1:30pm-11pm (Flexibility)

SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for making sure that communication is made clear to the Production Team with respect to job scheduling, shipping of finished goods, and training efforts for the production line. In some instances, it may be necessary to communicate directly with the Production setup person(s), operator(s), and/or production assistant/packer(s). Additionally, the Production Supervisor will work with the Scheduler and 1st shift Production Team to ensure that the schedule is accurate and organize suggestions and implementation to meet required job completion dates.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the schedule for production is being met, with regards to setup, operation, QA, and receive time. The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within production (ie. shop employee requests, safety, ensuring quality, costs, etc). As well as, training or organizing training with Production Team Leader(s) for new and existing employees on all elements of the scope of their position in regards to machine setup, machine operation, process specifications, product specifications and daily duties.

This position has strong knowledge of many departments within Plitek, the ability to lead, setup and operate different types of machines as well as the ability to train Production Team and Line Leaders is key.

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow direction from Operations Manager
- Able to work with Planner, Scheduler, and 1st shift Production Supervisor to understand the scheduling needs on a daily basis
- Oversee the Setup and Operation of the production line is in a safe manner and complies with all Safety Policies.
- Ability to read a Job Traveler, setup and operate the production line if needed, perform required quality testing, and perform material transactions.
- Oversee that the production line and workplace are at 100% efficiency, quality, safety, and responsiveness
- Assist in resolving any production line issues.
- Competent in reading blueprints, quality instructions, work instructions, etc.
- Ability to use metrology devices as needed (loupe, ruler, calipers, etc.)
- Maintain production standards across all current job responsibilities.
- Document production and quality results in the Computer System and on Job Travelers (Vantage)
- Comply with the established QMS (ISO 9001) procedures and work instructions.
- Mentor and train all lower level employees throughout the organization on the production line.
- Must complete all direct reports' Performance Appraisals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
