PART-TIME 0 - 35 hours weekly

The Linen Driver is a Ministerial Support position. Ministerial Support staff serve in operational and service support roles and are not required to personally affirm Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) Christian mission, vision and beliefs. However, it is expected that staff who fill these roles – no matter their personal beliefs - respect, work in harmony with, and not undermine MHA’s Christian mission, vision and beliefs. Additionally, they are required to abide by MHA’s culture code and standards of conduct. All staff are expected to join gatherings, which includes prayer, worship, and Bible-centered teaching.

This position has historically been filled with extremely efficient, self-motivated people with a “can do” attitude. As a Linen Driver you will be a key member on our team by maintaining the inventory of linens and cleaning supplies in storage closets for the housekeepers. Your primary responsibilities will be to maintain all housekeeping closets with appropriate amounts of linens and supplies by completing daily inventory and stocking. The Linen Driver supports the Accommodations Department in their goal to provide clean, tidy, well-maintained accommodations for our guests by maintaining the inventory of linens and cleaning supplies in storage closets for the housekeepers in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision, and values.


Key Job Accountabilities
:

  • Pick up soiled linens from all housing units and deliver to the laundry daily.
  • Maintain all linen closets with appropriate amounts of linens and “set-up” supplies.
  • Strip and stock all cabins with linens as needed.
  • Keep in communication with the Accommodations office with regard to issues that arise as well as cabin status.
  • Fulfill all rollaway and crib requests for each guest group. Conduct periodic inventory of rollaways and cribs.
  • Assist with linen inventory from time to time.
  • Maintain all department vacuum cleaners to ensure they are in proper working order.
  • Deliver messages to guests during the summer as required.
  • Keep the linen van clean inside and out. Check the oil and fuel weekly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED; (must be at least age 18). Some college education and/or equivalent professional experience desired.

Work Experience:

  • Previous delivery driving experience is highly desirable but not necessary for the right candidate.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Inventory and math skills required.
  • Desire to work within a positive team setting with diverse people.
  • Have an eye for detail and must show initiative to strive for excellence in all duties.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to maintain departmental standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and managers.

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires the ability to walk and bend for extended periods.
  • Use of staircases multiple times during shifts.
  • Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and the ability to lift/carry 40+ lbs.
Additional Requirements :
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays during the summer.
  • Must have a clean driving record of at least three years, and agree to and comply with MHA’s employee driving guidelines for MHA-owned vehicles and use of personal vehicles for business purposes
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHA’s Mission, Vision, Standards of Conduct.
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
