Family Allergy & Asthma is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team!

Location: Landis Lakes office - 139 South English Station Road, Suite 200, Louisville, KY 40245

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: $16 - $18 / hour


Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Biologic Team Lead to help streamline the biologic process, billing, and collection
  • Communicates with providers, nurses, managers, and patients to track Billing for the biologics process
  • Communicates on the telephone professionally and pleasantly. Efficiently screens and directs calls and make appointments as necessary for the biologics process, if required
  • Runs reports to track biologics Billing and maintains integrity of patient billing records
  • Collecting all necessary documentation to complete timely and accurate submission of prior authorizations for biologics, as necessary
  • Interacts with clients, insurance companies, sales representatives, providers, and patients, as necessary
  • Follow HIPAA policies, billing and follow up procedures

Competencies, Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience with Biologics/Prior Authorizations preferred
  • Medical Billing Office experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance carrier guidelines, deductibles, copays and coinsurance
  • Proficient and accurate with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), charting, flowcharting, and computers in general
