Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducts daily activity program including group, individual/spontaneous, 1:1 and normalization activities as directed by Activity Director and per calendar and individual plans and with the intent to optimize the function, safety, health and emotional well-being of each resident.
• Utilizes documentation such as care plans, activity protocols and other appropriate sources of information to facilitate each resident’s best ability to function in meaningful life activities.
• Assists the Activity Director in maintaining all resident activity records in compliance with the facility policies and applicable State regulations.
• Responsible for monitoring activity supplies levels in a household and assisting Activity Director in the ordering of activity supplies.
• Participates in resident activity assessments and care plan development.
• Act as a catalyst in developing friendships between residents and in promoting the social model
• Prepares and maintains activity documentation as directed by Activity Director
• Serves meals to residents according to established practice and facility procedures
• Maintains a clean and odor-free environment for the residents (i.e. bathrooms, bedrooms, common areas, etc.).
• Maintains a clutter-free environment for residents.
• Assists with special events on the household as requested, including family parties, support groups, and outings.
• Maintains a positive attitude about the residents and the house (including co-worker relationships).
• Greets visitors with a positive attitude and a smile.
• Treats residents, family, and staff with dignity and respect.
• Answers telephone promptly, accurately, and according to protocol.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

• MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SUNDAY - THURSDAY OR TUESDAY - SATURDAY
• Relevant activity experience
• Equivalency of a high school diploma.
• Must have the desire and ability to work with seniors with memory impairment in a social model of care.
• Activity experience required
• Must be ambulatory and in sound physical condition, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend to the floor, reach above head level, sit, and perform repetitive movements with arms and legs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
