We are searching for a highly motivated and driven Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting business operations through administrative tasks, as well as providing courteous and professional direct interaction with prospective and current property owners, tenants, and maintenance technicians. This position is often the face of Real Property Management Wake County and requires the candidate to be friendly and outgoing while maintaining the utmost professionalism.

Preference will be given to candidates looking for long-term, stable employment with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the office
  • Reception – cheerfully and professionally interact with visitors, whether in person, via telephone, and/or email correspondence. Direct them as appropriate.
  • Assign work orders, schedule all maintenance actions
  • Maintain the prospective tenant database
  • Maintain various process management platforms
  • Data entry and file maintenance
  • Provide excellent customer service to property owners and tenants.
  • Manage maintenance processes: Follow up on work orders, completed work, owner approvals, etc.
  • Manage referrals across departments
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Customer Service experience helpful
  • Ability to prepare, write and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff
  • General maintenance and repair knowledge is helpful but not required
  • Local area knowledge
  • Proficiency with Apple Computers, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of the internet and email
  • A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
  • Exceptional customer service ability
  • Organized and high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Appfolio, Propertyware, Yardi, etc. preferred
The ideal candidate is highly organized with solid time management skills and an understanding of prioritization. Naturally driven to provide excellent customer service and to instill trust, the Administrative Assistant is a natural communicator with good attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a professional demeanor.

Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with 30 minute lunch.
