The successful Advanced Manufacturing Technology Manager will grow their working knowledge of a wide variety of core and emerging technologies associated with LM MFC products, suppliers, and manufacturing sites to accelerate development and implementation of transformational capabilities (eg automation, additive, microelectronics, Adv. Materials, AI/ML). Responsible for strategy development and execution of operations research portfolio supporting all manufacturing sites and lines of business a successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across sites and functions, including but not limited to Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Operations, Production Control. To accomplish this, they will build and lead a strong, highly motivated team of technical SME's to research and deploy innovative and timely manufacturing capabilities.

Key Tasks::
  • Lead, collaborate and influence MFC manufacturing technology strategy and execution including capability deliverables, business case development, program & site implementation planning.
  • Manage AMT automation and robotics labs including cross-BA and multi-site system support of capabilities development, system integration, and demonstration
  • Collaborate across business areas to ensure technology synergy and technology transitions across business areas and factories
  • Partner with Product/Engineering teams to ensure priorities are on technology roadmap; align on launch timelines and communicate to Executive leadership
  • Ownership of the Production Operations IRAD EAC and budget
  • Prioritize personal and team-wide work based on company-wide goals
  • Continuously monitor and measure all project processes and activities to identify and communicate potential issues, risks, or problems in a timely fashion and provide corrective action options, and drive to resolution.
  • Maintain technical relevant contacts within industry, universities, and customer areas.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
  • Must be able to manage multiple personnel, manufacturing departments and issues simultaneously with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Superior communication skills to support regular presentations to all levels of employees and management
  • Experience working in a production manufacturing environment
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance, thus be a US citizen
  • Experience with proposals, Basis of Estimates (BOEs) development
Desired Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in technical program or project management in manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with developing processes and methodologies in industrial environments
  • Very good leadership, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in working at the intersection of product quality, manufacturing, and engineering
  • Experience with the cost analysis make/buy trade estimates and proposals including experience working directly with government customers supporting bid and proposal efforts.
  • Currently holds a Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.
  • Experience with automation and robotics technologies including sourcing, integration, and production implementation
  • Experience in manufacturing technology transition from concept to production including
  • Have a MS degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, or other engineering discipline
  • Experience with intellectual property planning for projects.
  • Demonstrated Cost account Management (CAM) experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
