Job Summary
The Marketing Intelligence Advisor is responsible for the identification, ownership, and successful development of Marketing analytics solutions. The Advisor will develop a deep understanding of the business, financial and marketing drivers, available data and its uses, and a functional knowledge of the analytical tools and techniques that are required to successfully manage their assigned portfolio. As a strategic partner, the advisor will collaborate with key business and functional area leaders with the identification and development of marketing solutions that drive value, actionability, and the development of analytical resources across the organization. The Advisor leverages strong communication and people skills to work closely with subject matter experts in various departments – helping interpret and communicate complex concepts in a way that is understandable to a potentially nontechnical audience.

Essential Functions
NBA Portfolio Management
The Marketing Analytics Advisor role will be responsible for overseeing an effective portfolio of Next Best Actions (NBA). These responsibilities include:
  • Identifying upcoming strategic opportunities for new NBAs
  • Evaluating the performance of existing NBAs
  • Including optimization or retiring of under-performing actions
  • Quantifying cost or Customer Effort Scored (CES) impacts

Analytics Platform Guidance
The Marketing Analytics Advisor will be responsible for overseeing effective use of data platforms. Near term responsibilities will include guiding the migration of an Azure based analytics platform to Snowflake and AWS. These responsibilities include:
  • Identifying key milestones and dates
  • Ensuring support of existing production pipeline until migration is fully complete
  • Clearing blockers and securing DS resources for support

Acquisition and Retention Strategy
The Marketing Analytics Advisor will be responsible for overseeing an effective, data driven strategy to guide our line of business partners in growing and retaining their membership base. These responsibilities include:
  • Identifying new data partners to enhance current or future strategies
  • Building effective automated approaches to campaign targeting and measurement
  • Working closely with third party marketing vendors to ensure accuracy of data

Data Science and Data Engineering Strategy
The Marketing Analytics Advisor will be responsible for overseeing an effective approach to Data Engineering and Data Science foundations, partnering closely with Advanced Analytics. Responsibilities include:
  • Guiding the approach to building an effective member-centric data warehouse in Snowflake
  • Guiding the approach to building an effective Machine Learning framework
  • Identifying opportunities for value-added data science work such as predictive modeling, natural language processing, classification, and other potential applications
Other functions include
  • Build a strong relationship with business and functional area leaders to understand and anticipate their needs in order to design glean data insights, solutions, tools and compile information to help inform key decision making.
  • Routinely review financial, clinical, and provider performance for the designated business and functional areas to identify important trends and communicate risks and opportunities for leaders and other key stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Partners with teammates to discover opportunities for self-service and automation within existing work efforts and deliverables. This includes guiding and advancing the skills and domain knowledge of teammates, informing standards adherence.
  • Oversee analytic operations-based work for a dedicated portfolio.
  • Assist in development of strategic plan to help achieve or exceed targeted financial results.
  • Perform analysis to help business/functional area leaders understand the drivers for variance.
  • Lead analytical projects as a product owner, solutions architect, SME on behalf of a designated functional/business area leader. Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
  • Additional role based functions include but are not limited to:
    • Coordinate a group of related projects with the goal of completing projects on time and efficiently through the balancing of
    resources across the program and other programs within the department and on behalf of medical and provider leaders.
    • Serve as a single point of contact and liaison for business partners in order to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
    • Recommend solution to business owner based on business problem and requirements. Solution considers project constraints of time and resources and may thus propose both short and long term options.
    • Responsible for understanding the overall needs and requirements across stakeholders and translating them to the doers.
    • Responsible for quality of deliverables.
    • Assist in the coaching and development of analytical teammates both internal and external to the department.
Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in analytics, statistics, informatics, biostatistics, economics, math, engineering, or other related field
  • Preferred Master's Degree or equivalent In public health, health administration, analytics, statistics, informatics, biostatistics, economics, math, engineering, or other related field
  • 10 years of relevant experience as a financial analyst, business intelligence analyst/developer, data scientist, or related work within the healthcare industry Required
  • Experience with Snowflake/AWS preferred
