Job Summary

Responsible for daily coordination of the MAMA clinical teams, ensuring that they consistently meet or exceeds standard of care. Involved in goal setting, problem solving, leading and communicating to clinical staff. Assists the Clinical management team in development, implementation and enforcement of new and existing standards, to ensure HCA North Carolina division carries out its goals and mission.


Education & Experience

Required:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree or enroll in a Bachelor’s degree program or advanced degree program and obtain a Bachelor’s degree within 2 years of hire date into position.
  • Minimum three (3) years flight experience.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in nursing, business, or health related field preferred.
  • One (1) year management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of local healthcare market dynamics and state regulatory requirements, preferred.

Skills

Skills as required to practice as a Paramedic or RN and advanced practice skills as defined by Medical Director(s) and Medical Standards.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels.
  • Ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and presentations to senior leadership.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Current NC RN or Paramedic licenses(s).
  • Current certifications in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR; ACLS; PALS or equivalent and TNCC/ITLS/PHTLS.
  • Specialty certification: (CFRN, CCRN, CEN, FP-C or CCEMTP) required within two (2) years of hire.

  • Advance trauma course: one (1) of the following is acceptable: ATLS/ATCN, TNATC or CAMTS-approved advanced trauma course prior to completion of third rider orientation. (Please note advanced skills lab must accompany all of the above mentioned advanced trauma courses).


  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Class C License
  • Associate Degree
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or Ped Educ Prehosp Prof, or Registered Nurse, or Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP), or Emergency Medical Technician: Paramedic (EMT-P)
  • Advanced Provider Course ITLS, or Prehospital Trauma Life Suppor, or Trauma Nursing Core Course, or Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), or Critical Care Registered Nurse Acute/Adult (CCRN), or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), or Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C), or Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
