Benefits to you
  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.
  • The annual salary for this position is $55,752 - $90,744.
  • 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans.

Position Highlights
The
Douglas County Circuit Court
in Roseburg, Oregon, is hiring a Court Analyst (Analyst 2).
In this role, you will be a subject matter expert for judges, the court management team, and court staff. You will perform complex duties in support of our court’s operations, including research, statistical review, policy and program evaluation, and project development and implementation. You will ensure that the court’s business processes, systems, and projects are efficient and legally compliant and that communication at all levels of the court is accurate and efficient. You will also analyze relevant data about current business processes, policies, and procedures and make recommendations for best practices and needed changes.
Working with the court’s management team, you will assist in conducting confidential internal administrative investigations, represent management on various assigned projects, and provide updates to the team while coordinating projects and activities. You will also work directly with the court’s administrative, operations, judicial support, and programs teams.
Additionally, you will prepare training materials and manuals, provide formal and informal training to court staff, and confer with others to explain policies and procedures. Part of your time will be spent reviewing and tracking legislation related to programs and administrative systems, as well as creating, maintaining, and automating court forms.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have at least two (2) years of increasingly responsible professional-level experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities requirements listed for the position.
AND
Bachelor’s degree in business, public or court administration, or a closely related field.
OR
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to five (5) years that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities requirements listed for the position.

  • Experience conducting research and compiling, analyzing, and presenting data.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in multiple areas of the court.
Working Conditions
  • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule currently is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
  • Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
  • Occasional travel to attend meetings and training sessions may be required.
  • Presenting in front of groups of various sizes may be required.
  • Long periods of sitting/standing while working on a computer.
  • Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.

Criminal Background Check
You will be subject to a criminal background check if you are a finalist. Adverse results are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may result in disqualification if the circumstances are directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
