APPRENTICE MACHINE TOOL ELECTRICIAN

Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) is an industry leader in the design and build of robotic automation systems. We are located in Lake Orion, MI, in northern Oakland County. In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for an Apprentice Machine Tool Electrician to join our team.

Must be dependable and have excellent attendance. We are willing to train.

Job responsibilities

· Layout and wire panels from electrical schematics and layouts.

· Conducts, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical / electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.

· Applies knowledge of electrical / electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.

· Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing according to the procedures in the company's quality system.

· Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.

Qualifications:

· Must be able to read electrical schematics

· Experience with machine tool wiring

· Experience with conduit installations

· Experience with panel layouts and electrical components.

· Familiar with the NEC is a plus

· Must be committed to SAFETY and QUALITY at all times.

· Some travel required.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
