JOB DESCRIPTION.
Inclusion aides are responsible for the day-to-day supervision and inclusion of their assigned child(ren). This position is the go to person if there is a child who could benefit from an adaptation to instructional materials to enhance the student’s performance.

Develop and implement behavior support and intervention plans and modeling specialized strategies and techniques
Develop, implement and model social skill development techniques, including social stories, peer facilitation, and peer training
Assist in developing and implementing de-escalation strategies to assist or support with student development
Assist in the preparation and adaptation of instruction
Provide Site Directorwith enrichment program ideas focusing on the inclusion of the assigned child(ren)
Provide assigned child(ren) assistance with academic homework

Must be 18 years of age
Must pass CAPE test or have a minimum of 48 completed college units (

Must have a minimum of 6 documented training hours in the area of special needs OR 6 units in special education OR 6 months experience as SET for the San Diego Unified School District
Must have a minimum of 6 months experience working in an after school or group child(ren) care setting with elementary aged children, specifically those with special needs
Valid CPR and First Aid Certified required
Ability to relate well to children and adults
Valid TB results required
Must receive Fingerprint Clearance upon hire (paid by Harmonium)
Expressed commitment to the program and it’s philosophies during the term of your employment
Must provide proof of Fully Vaccinated status
