The Learning Experience (TLE) – Clinton Hill is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Director. The Assistant Director will be responsible for overseeing the front office and reception, assisting on tours, managing day-to-day parent communication, implementing the daily teacher schedule, of a childcare and early learning center in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn to serve up to 151 children from 6 weeks to five years of age. The Assistant Director will be a highly energetic individual with a passion for childcare, genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education. The Assistant Director will report to the Educational Director of The Learning Experience – Clinton Hill.

Customer Focus
- Manages the reception desk of the front office, field phone calls and responds to classroom needs and day-to-day communication.
- Implement daily schedule; ensure teacher breaks and schedules are timely.
- Assists with tours with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.
- Reviews children’s files and onboards new students from enrollment to start date with the Educational Director.
- Manages parent meetings.
- Regularly communicates with families.
- Execution of our parent communication app.
- Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are in full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
- Must possess a CURRENT NYS TEACHING CERTIFICATION: B-2 or N-6 required.
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with families and team members
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field.
- Two or more years of teaching experience in a program serving children 6 years of age and under required.
- Familiarity of New York City Article 47 licensing rules and regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible full-time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
