Assistant Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team at our first Big Blue Swim School location in Massachusetts.

Here at Big Blue Swim School, we care about creating big moments for our students and team. We provide training in a welcoming and supportive environment to ensure our teachers can give great lessons for all students! With continuous training, opportunities for growth, and a supportive team, we create an environment that is inclusive and fun.

Our Assistant Managers help run the daily activities of the Swim Teachers and adhere to the Big Blue Swim School standards. We are looking for candidates with swim experience, strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills, and we will provide all necessary training for lesson and pool related responsibilities.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

• Coach and instruct teachers in providing safe and effective swim lessons
• Conduct daily monitoring and review of instruction and student progress to ensure appropriate progression
• Communicate with parents/customers on a regular basis to provide appropriate status updates and a high level of customer service
• Ensure teachers are adhering to Big Blue Swim School principles and curriculum
• Enforce all safety procedures and required certifications
• Ensure efficient building operations including cleanliness, water quality, and pump room operations
• Other duties as assigned

Assistant Manager Qualifications:

• Swim experience
• Proven ability to manage teams
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Love working with kids and excited to help them learn and grow
• Ability to work in the pool as needed
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Enjoys have fun
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move regularly throughout the facility to continuously interact with customers and staff
• Will train for lifeguard, CPR, CPO certifications
