Huffines operates nine dealerships; located in McKinney, Plano, Lewisville, and Corinth and represents the manufacturer brands of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chevrolet, Genesis, Hyundai, Kia, and Subaru.

Job Description :
The Huffines Parts Manager is responsible for a rapidly growing segment of our business and runs a profitable and efficient parts department that meets and/or exceeds monthly objectives. Huffines Parts Managers optimize department profitability by using proper purchasing and auditing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising.

Responsibilities :
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
  • Possesses and practices a servants leadership mindset
  • Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments
  • Work with the service department to ensure timely parts turnaround for jobs
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the department
  • Interpret, understand, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees
  • Provide technical assistance to parts department employees
  • Conduct meetings with parts department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation
  • Monitor parts department employees' payroll records
  • Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers
  • Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines
  • Establish a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and cost of doing business
  • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
Qualifications :
  • Five years of personnel management experience
  • Five years of experience in an automotive dealership parts department
  • Capable of developing, implementing, and measuring the impacts and effectiveness of internal processes, interdepartmental relationships, and customer experiences
  • Proven track record of strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and lead a team-oriented culture
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings to include: background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Unrestricted driver license and clean driving record
