As a Barclays Assistant Vice President of Authorization Strategy, you will play a critical role in supporting, driving, and executing strategy, and generating resilient returns and investment decisions across Existing customer management (ECM) credit programs. What will you be doing?

• Developing and monitoring credit strategy and data analytics of existing customer management (ECM) credit line increase programs
• Evaluating new data and alternating data sources for line increase eligibility and line assignment strategies
• Using CHAID Decision Trees, statistical optimization procedures, loss forecasting, enhanced process monitoring, and data quality evaluations to support new credit product launches
• Building robust valuation models using predictive analytics, cutting edge statistical processes and financial valuation modelling methods to prudently assess risk and revenue trade-offs
• Proposing program enhancements grounded in credit and transaction data and analytics
• Collaborating cross-functionally to monitor portfolio trends, check and contest assumptions, and informing stakeholders of changes which impact consumer and business credit
• Designing and reviewing advanced SAS and SQL programming queries, collaborating, and working together with execution teams, and ensuring effective implementation of strategies
• Supporting, expanding, and mentoring analytical teams, both local and international

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline - Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research; Masters or Ph.D. Degree highly desirable
• Several years of credit card experience required, preferably in credit risk management function
• Over five years of experience with SAS/SQL or other relevant statistical tools

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Good written and verbal communication skills, able develop presentations and reports to communicate with senior management in concise and meaningful way
• Solid project management skills and understanding
