This individual must be able to provide prompt attention, hospitable service and professional communications to bothguests and employees.

SUMMARY: Responsibilities include supervising events, hotel meetingfunctions, and the Banquet team.This individual will prepare and directthe team toensurethe guests' expectations are met and exceeded, as well as maintainthe highest standards of food and beverage service, while offering creative in-room set-ups and presentations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establishes and monitors standards for events and operations including but not limited to personnel administration and performance and services to guests
• Complete and/or monitor setup of banquet meeting roomsin a timely manner, and maintain cleanliness and security of allbanquet equipment
• Works closely with our Culinary Team, Sales Team,and other appropriate staff to ensure the smooth and healthy operation of all events and meetings
• Monitors overall condition of events and meeting rooms, pre-function area, public spaces, and outside grounds; ensure that all concerns are communicated to the appropriate Department Manager andthat any/all deficiencies are rectified
• Responsible for inspecting and preforming quality checks of of meeting spaceprior to the scheduled start time of the event, and if unavailable to do so, delegate to supervisory/leadpositions
• Maintains visibility and accessibility to guests, staff, and vendors; maintains effective communication with all staff to ensure banquet staff is performing at established standards
• Ensure that guests needs are fulfilled and their experiences as pleasurable as possible; respond to guests' feedback, including complaints/problems; reviews compliments/complaints with dining room host/host and staff continually improve service
• Enforces service standards for all events, meetings and related operations including innovative and creative food and beverage displays
• Ensures that all function details (group names, times, room locations, etc...)are communicated correctly to staff and guests for directional and informationalpurposes
• Ensures that the written details of all assigned meetings and events are carried out properly
• Serves as a liaison between banquet staff, culinary and sales department
• Responsible for holding pre-function meetings with banquet staff to communicate all planned details and last-minute changes to banquet event orders (BEO)
• Supervise and direct sales areas of bar operations utilizing bar guides, brand standards, and hotel policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 1-year banquet set-up experience is required.
• Previous supervisor/leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be familiar with various room sets, with ability to execute BEO specifications.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 100 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Requires repetitive motion, using arms, and hands for an extended period or for an entire shift.
