PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The CDL Delivery Driver’s primary responsibility is to ensure every load is safely secured, safely and expeditiously transport combined truck and trailer load to required location, within Texas, on time and without incident. Other duties include, but not limited to, assist in the loading and unloading of material, completing daily and weekly audits all delivery fleet vehicles, maintenance of delivery fleet, and warehouse duties as required.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Perform pre-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, policies, and procedures
- Perform post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, policies, and procedures
- Assist with loading materials
- Assist with unloading of materials
- Secure tools/material according to DOT regulations, policies, and procedures
- Deliver required material to job sites, on time as assigned by dispatcher
- Pick up orders, materials, tools from vendors and jobsites
- Maintain ongoing communication with dispatcher for updates and changes
- Update and maintain all data in required systems
- Assist other drivers and warehouse team with workload as needed
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with team members and customers
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Valid Class A Driver’s License
- Minimum 1 years’ experience with 53’ Dry Vans
- Forklift operation experience is a plus
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass company driving test, background checks and random drug tests
- Strong customer service skills
