Title: Director of Children’s Ministry

Reports to: Lead Pastor

Terms: Part time position (25-28 hrs/week)

Schedule: Required ministry hours on Sunday and Wednesday, weekly office hours varying

Director of Children’s Ministry Purpose: To promote spiritual growth in our children at WFC through partnering with families and volunteers in teaching and discipling using solid, biblically based programming.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of WFC Children’s Ministry
• Organizes and supervise the Christian Education Supply Room
• Attend all church staff meetings
• Oversee Child Safety Policies
• Recruit, shepherd, train, schedule and supervise all children’s ministry team members
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with all volunteers, staff and WFC parents, as needed
• Maintain relationships with family and children who are connected with the WFC Children’s Ministry
• Develop and implement programming and curriculum for the WFC Children’s Ministries to include, but not be limited to: Sunday School, Kid’s Club, Vacation Bible School, Kid’s Worship, Homeschool Activity, Christmas & Easter Programs and other special events
• Work with the lead pastor and other staff members to ensure that the vision and goals of the children’s ministry is aligned with the vision and goals of the church

Skills/ Qualifications:

• Previous ministry or teaching experience preferred
• Previous administrative experience
• Should have experience leading and managing teams
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:6-9)
• Familiarity with and subscription to the Faith and Practice of the Evangelical Friends Church

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20,000.00 - $24,000.00 per year

• Salem, OH 44460: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
