Summary of Position
Under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager, this position provides administrative and project support for designated Clinic team members and Providers. In addition to administrative support, performs duties such as data entry, patient chart maintenance and communicating with employees throughout the organization. Drafts correspondence and assembles confidential and sensitive information. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload. Upload and enter external results within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System, and, will provide support for any special project as directed by the leadership team.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant in primary care, or equivalent education.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; applicant must be Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook calendar.
  • Experience with drafting/writing communications to various stakeholders.
  • Experience in data entry; applicant must be able to accurately and timely input data.
  • Ability to effectively maintain confidentiality of records and communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Valid driver’s license

Education:
Associates degree with experience required or related experience. Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Certification(s)/Licensure:
Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred

ey Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to clinic team members and Providers related to patient Lab and Diagnostic Tracking.
  • Assist in obtaining patient specific results notifications and entering in to patient medical records within the EMR System.
  • Assist with pre-visit review for patient preventive screening and test needs, including creating orders based on Standing Order protocols.
  • Collaborate with the clinic Acute Care Manager as needed to support patient medical record maintenance.
  • Consult with relevant Quality Improvement and Clinic staff regarding state reporting needs.
  • Perform patient scheduling based on clinical care gap closure needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
