Job description
Seeking community habilitation worker to work with a 17- old young male who resides in Brooklyn with his mother. Individual has autism and uses a wheelchair to navigate within his home and the community. He can communicate verbally in English and Creole. He is a warm, friendly, intelligent, perceptive, social person. Qualities desired in the applicant are an upbeat, happy and loving personality, intelligence, and physical ability to help individual transfer from his wheelchair. Applicant must be respectful and understand that individual is intelligent and understands everything but may need assistance with his activities of daily living and independent living tasks. The applicant will work on goals like improving his fine motor skills, positive communication skills, safety skills, writing skills and activities of daily living skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
