The D365 Business Project Manager’s role is to lead the business in transforming the business based on company’s objectives as well as to assist in leading the implementation of D365 implementation for all selected RV (Recreational Vehicle) segment facilities. During all phases, the D365 Business Project Manager will work closely with the IT Global Applications Leader to ensure success of the project.


It is expected that the Business Project Manager will be on site at one of the local REV RV facilities in Indiana, United States for the duration of the rollouts. This position will report directly to the VP/GM.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Vendor Project Manager and VP of Global Applications to facilitate the management of the project.
    Assists Vendor project manager in tracking activity, resolving problems and recommending actions. The D365 Business Project Manager will need to reach out to users, managers and key leaders to help establish schedule, timing and workload. Communicate the project plan to users and key stakeholders as required.


  • Core Team identification, dedication, and core team personnel management
    • This position should have knowledge of the business including key leaders and knowledge of the business to help identify core team members for the project team.
    • Work with management to enable core team members identified to be dedicated for the implementation of the project.
    • Create goals to be placed in ADP for core team members.
    • Manage the core team so they complete all activities required, including learning the system, testing, training end users and writing SOPs.
  • Act on Behalf of the Business
    • In all preparation activities, the D365 Business Project Manager should act on behalf of the business. If questions or concerns arise about what the business wants or how to proceed, the D365 Business Project Manager will be asked to investigate and work with the business to find the answer.
    • Facilitate Daily core team and weekly status update meetings
  • Coordinate and perform conference room pilots, unit testing and user acceptance tests.
    • Complete the conference room pilot plan, user acceptance test plan, training plan and transition plan with the help of the Vendor Project Manager.
    • This includes preparing a key user list of critical users to be involved in the testing.
    • Actively participate in the implementation, setup, testing and training of users to rollout or upgrade ERP systems
    • Work with core team and business to involve appropriate users in the testing phases.
  • Review and Challenge Business Requirements, Processes and Improvements and confirm that requirements are being met
    • Meet with decisions makers, system owners and end users to define business, financial and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve system issues.
    • Ability to analyze the gap between a user request and the capability of the supported Application to determine if a customization should be discussed or the functionality exists (goes through approval process)
    • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems , extensions and reports to aid management in making implementation decisions.
    • Manage change log to identify and document any approved scope changes to the project
  • Change Management / Communication
    • Act as a change agent to facilitate and manage changes in the business.
      • Based on the requirements designated by the business, understand, facilitate and communicate the changes derived from the business requirements and goals.
      • Facilitate the standardization and simplification in the business. Be a leader in accepting change.
      • Actively communicate status to the business
  • Manage Scope
    • The Business Project Manager should understand scope and should help guide the business to maintain scope throughout the project. This includes the requirements, potential interfaces, data migration summary, and any other documentation that makes the work requirement very clear for the project.
  • Manage and Monitor Data Cleanup
    • The D365 Business Project Manager will review data volumes and organize and monitor a team to clean up data in their legacy system. The Business Project Manager will review data with appropriate team members and identify and manage the areas where data needs to be cleaned up.
  • Interfaces with senior and executive staff levels with the highest level of professionalism.
    • Facilitates core team member meetings
    • Facilities Business Sponsor meetings
    • Facilitates Exec Steering Group meetings.
  • Establish corporate governance. Maintain SOX and legal regulations when implementing systems.


Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):


  • College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, accounting or management information systems and 6 years related work experience.
  • Previous experience in the implementation of ERP systems is required, preferably knowledgeable in either Finance, Supply Chain or Manufacturing modules. D365 Finance and Operations Knowledge a huge plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • General knowledge of network, PC operating systems, network hardware, protocols and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed written, listening, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user friendly language.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience in managing a team. Able to resolve conflict.
  • Credibility in the business to drive results.
