Position Summary

Job Overview

The Reporting and Visualization Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge data visualizations while working with agency partners across Kinesso’s global client footprint to understand reporting requirements to provide actionable deliverables. You will work with a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to deliver compelling user-friendly Business Intelligence tools that make data exploration simple and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary contact with accounts and clients to gather data & reporting requirements, validate requirements and build corresponding deliverables
  • Implement a consistent and effective design strategy across all reports and dashboards
  • Ensure a high-quality user experience with all reports by working proactively seeking feedback from client’s and agency partners.
  • Work with data engineers to build dashboards and reports in Tableau and other BI tools
  • Recommend industry leading tools and services and understand the benefits and drawbacks of various widely used BI tools
  • Understand the tradeoffs between designing multipurpose dashboards vs. highly specialized reports
  • Collaborate with other BI leads throughout the organization to coordinate tools and methods experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications for Reporting & Visualization Manager

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in UX/UI Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or similar discipline
  • Strong understanding of design principles and aesthetics of business dashboards, data visualization and reports (i.e. look and feel)
  • Strong understanding of UX principles and ability to work with stakeholders to understand their needs in the design process
  • Must be able to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating with others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate an ability to solve complex problems and present recommendations to senior management effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, work ethic and the ability to work well individually as well as leading cross functional project teams
  • Ability to work with large amounts of information and see the ‘bigger picture’
  • Comfortable presenting to stakeholders
  • Highly accountable self-starter with the ability to work well within a group, as well as independently
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, reporting and analysis
  • Keen understanding the marketing data ecosystem including digital and traditional channels
  • 5+ years’ work experience with BI visualization tools to build dashboards for users both internal & external
  • At least 3 years’ experience with Tableau, certifications a plus
  • Experience with at least some of the following tools: PowerBI, Datorama, Google Data Studio, Adverity, Looker
  • Understanding of key principles of data science, statistical analysis, and experience with big data technologies and platforms is a plus

The salary range for this position is $87,300 to $109,200. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
