Some key responsibilites include:
- Lead standard practices of packaging documentation, design, testing, and optimization
- Contribute advanced knowledge of design engineering (molded foam, thermoformed, corrugated design, etc.), design software systems, costing, and material selection
- Supervise and lead the design engineering team by providing technical support through customer interface, design, review & compliance, process implementation, planning, and production support
- Manage design lab equipment, inventory, and service agreements
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering department
Requirements:
- Related engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience
- Minimum of 3 years leading or managing a small team of designers
- Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and/or proposals
- Strong technical and analytical background
- Advanced use of CAD related software such as Solidworks, ArtiosCAD, and TOPS
