Job description
Responsibilities:
- Performs quality repairs and maintenance on all Heavy truck and diesel engines as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspections.
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Accurately completes all paperwork including repair information on work orders and keeping detailed records on all work performed.
- Ability to organize the work presented and plan for the highest efficiency and productivity in the performance of all job functions.
- Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are properly working.
- Consistently maintains training and education as assigned by management and participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Experience / Skills:
- Experience in an OEM Heavy Truck dealership setting.
- Possess factory training certifications in drivetrain, electrical, braking systems, etc.
- CDL license or can obtain a CDL license.
- Fluent with current diagnostic software.
- Knowledgeable of diagnostic and repair systems.
- Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
