Direct Support Professional/Caregiver

Starting pay: $14.00 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional with experience in supporting all daily life activities for a young boy in Howland area. The current opening is explicitly for a daytime hours, Mon to Friday. We kindly ask you not to apply if these time frames do not work for you. Preferred non-smoker with active type of personality, able to walk for extended periods of time.

Description of Duties

• Ensure that the individual gets their fitness activities and stays safe.
• Engage actively in conversation and socialization with the individual.
• Assist with daily routine including meal preparation and reminders for personal hygiene.
• Must be able to take initiative and work effectively with little supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• A valid Driver's License and existing insurance.
• CPR and First Aid certification are mandatory.
• COVID vaccination is preferred.
• Experience providing support to people with developmental and physical disabilities.
• Be able to attend and complete necessary training in accordance with legal requirements.
• Compassionate and willing to care for the well-being of others.
• Ability to answer calls, show for an in-person interview, and complete background checks.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
