Job Purpose:

The Senior Legislative Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and communicating impacts from legislative/regulatory changes to the DUI and specialty insurance markets. This position will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on market trends, market sizing, and market share. The Legislative Analyst will maintain, enhance, and develop data tracking, best practice methodologies, and reporting. This position will work closely with the Legislation team to identify, quantify, and track new legislation opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Analysis of legislative/regulatory changes and tracking estimates once bills are passed.

2. Identify and prioritize opportunities for future legislation.

3. Build, manage, and improve core legislative processes and reporting.

4. Responsible for keeping senior management informed through creation and maintenance of reporting and open communication.

5. Collaborate with senior management in Finance, Legislation, Compliance, and Marketing.

6. Proactive in building out analysis and reporting to align with senior management.

7. Come up with new and improved ways to track, monitor, and analyze market data.

8. Serve as company representative for legislative projects with external partners.

9. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree a plus.

2. 5+ years business analysis experience. Previous experience with legislative, legal research, or regulatory environments preferred.

3. Excellent analytical, research, organization, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills.

4. Must have a high level of confidence and comfort interacting with senior management.

5. Excel and PowerPoint proficiency critical.

6. Must be detail oriented. Accuracy is expected.

7. Ability to work both independently and collaborative.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000 yearly + annual incentive award.
