Gurwin Healthcare System is a full continuum of care providing extraordinary care and caring to the people that we serve. Set on a 34-acre campus in Commack, NY, the Gurwin Healthcare System includes the 460-bed Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, providing short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care, memory care, respiratory and ventilator care, palliative and hospice care, social and medical adult day programs, and on-site dialysis and infusion therapy. Sharing the campus is Gurwin’s Assisted Living community (Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner Residences), our Certified Home Health Agency, and our independent living community (Fountaingate Gardens). Our Gurwin Licensed Home Care Services Agency has an office in Farmingdale, NY.

We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Sales & Marketing who will embody the passion and commitment required to promote our new endeavor and help community members as they learn about our proposed CCRC and make choices about their retirement future.

Gurwin is seeking a full time Director of Marketing and Sales for our beautiful Independent Living Community, Fountaingate Gardens.

Primary Purpose:

The Director of Sales and Marketing is a key component of the sales and marketing team and the success of the Gurwin Healthcare System. This position is responsible for all external business development, event planning, and community rapport to generate new leads. This role is responsible for increasing and maintaining overall occupancy of the community while garnering relationships with prospective residents, families, and guests of the community. The position requires the confident ability to explain the concept of the continuum of care, amenities and benefits in the Continuing Care Retirement Community model (CCRC)/(Life-Plan Community). Establish and develop liaisons with community-based resources while creating and/or hosting marketing functions.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business trongly preferred. Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to identify and qualify leads and close sales. Must possess excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills; proven leadership ability; and have attention to detail, organization, and problem solving capabilities.

Essential Functions of the Position:

Ø Maintain a professional manner, attitude, and dress at all times. Specifically maintaining a friendly and collaborative demeanor with peers, board members, applicants, guests, residents, and others.

Ø Establish and develop liaisons with community-based resources and senior-based organizations.

Ø Oversees and collaborates on website, social media, and collateral for best messaging and consistency for success.

Ø Communicates all information to interested parties, including inter-office, guests, vendors, or others. Being fluent in all community offerings/benefits for the CCRC covered entities.

Ø Provide support, guidance, and overall performance management of Lifestyle Consultant team while providing on-going training with positive reinforcement of the sales training program.

Ø Responsible for lead generation to entities through relationships with resources including Hospital Networks, Elder Law professionals, Senior Centers, 55 and older housing, and other referral sources while focusing on prospect centered events.

Ø Establish, enforce, and maintain occupancy goals along with sales goals for all aspects of the community.

Ø Efficiently utilize the CRM system in use while appropriately tracking measurable metrics and initiatives and adjusting strategy or approach accordingly for success.

Ø Performs business development speaking engagements, presentations, lead generation seminars, or other strategic efforts for the community’s success.

Ø Maintains expected productivity level at each phase of the community as advised or directed from Executive Director or designee.

Ø Acquire and process new sales, participating in the sales process and demonstrating clear ability to close leads.

Ø Demonstrates high-level attention to detail with work completed, immediate workspace, and overall community presentation.

Ø Promotes teamwork amongst all supervisory and peer team members while being a positive working environment culture leader.

Ø Able to manage multiple requests and tasks at a time with varying needs.


Ø Performs all other duties as requested or required. Must be able to have a flexible schedule including working weekends, evenings, and holidays as directed.

Ø Complexity
Able to plan and prioritize work duties under the administration's direction while independently initiating all tasks and maintaining a high level of work in a fast-paced environment.

Ø Confidential Information
Will be exposed to highly confidential information, demonstrate confidentiality, and only disclose with the Sales and Marketing Director or others specifically directed by the Executive Director.

Ø Safety
Requires ability to read, understand and follow community emergency procedures and all other safety rules and regulations.

Ø Degree of Travel
Travel requirements will vary based on need.


Ø Working Conditions
Clean, well-lighted residential and office environment. Varying levels of noise, activity, and frequent interruption.


Physical Requirements

Ø Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods, up to 90% of work time, depending on community needs.

Ø Must be able to use telephone and computer for long periods, up to 100% of work time.

Ø Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Ø Must be able to push and pull up to 30 pounds.

Ø Must be able to stand for varying durations and able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.


Ø Must be able to twist, bend, and walk to maintain walkways and surrounding workspace.
