About Us

Velocity is a high-end classic car restoration facility in Cantonment, Florida. The company elevates the classic vehicle experience by modernizing vintage vehicles. Originally heralded as a leading specialty restoration shop for Classic Ford Broncos winning major industry awards, it is growing into a complete vehicle production facility. Velocity produces “restomod” restorations where vintage vehicles are upgraded with modern parts, drivetrain, and technology making them functionally new while maintaining an original or vintage aesthetic. The company has pioneered a custom classic vehicle renovation via an assembly line process, ensuring a high level of quality control, with a known price, and significantly decreased build time. We have a talented team of 100+ employees and a 135,000 square foot facility where we are continuing to add additional production lines and new vehicle offerings.


Job Description


The Director of Supply Chain will evaluate past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling. This individual will direct overall supply chain operations including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors, and internal distribution of parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage inventory strategies and policy to optimize inventory turns and cash flow.
  • Deliver targeted results including cost savings, supplier OTD and quality.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies.
  • Create and strategically adjust departments’ activities, policies and practices to meet and/or exceed KPI’s and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Establish all import/export requirement for product distribution including international warehousing.
  • Engaged in operating income initiatives, reducing operations costs and increasing efficiency.
  • Benchmarking and adapting industry best practices to drive state of the art supplier management standard work.
  • Lead implementation of supply chain department policies and systems to ensure the integrity of products, chain-of-condition, and custody validation.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain success metrics, incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements.
  • Maintain responsibility for succession planning, organizational and talent development.
  • Develops and maintain working relationships with supply chain partners.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, ERP, Quickbooks, or other pertinent software.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop supplier strategies aimed at the development of a long-term viable supply base.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and lean tools required.
  • Expertise with electronic traceability and scheduling tools is required.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior querying, Excel, and Access skills, with the ability to efficiently generate complex analytics.
  • Must have a “hands on” approach to work.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, business, or other related field with an advanced degree preferred.
  • MUST have deep functional experience in supply/demand planning and direct spend category management.
  • Previous experience in leading and building a team at a senior management level required.
  • Experience negotiating terms and conditions.

Physical Demands (to include but not limited to)

  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computer, office equipment, telephone, etc.
  • Sit for long periods of time working at a desk, boardroom table, or at a computer.
  • Walk long distances across shop floor to communicate and gather information as needed.
  • Must be able to navigate through various departments of the organization’s physical premises.
  • Must be able to see details of objects from a distance, example: identifying numbers on computer screen
  • Ability to lift, carry, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Occasional reaching overhead and below knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
