Adams Homes is seeking a highly motivated Admin Assistant/Permitting Coordinator to join our growing Wilimington Division. As an Admin Assistant/Permitting Coordinator, you will play a critical role in obtaining home building permit applications to begin construction on our customers' dream homes. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will have the chance to multi-task and grow as our division continues to expand.


Responsibilities:

  • Promptly answer incoming telephone calls in a professional manner, determine the purpose of the call, and forward calls as appropriate while monitoring staff availability.
  • Collaborate with management, customers, team members, and third-party relationships such as lenders, permit authorities, title agents, trades, etc.
  • Answer inquiries about the organization and provide callers with relevant information.
  • Manage special administrative projects and overflow work from the department.
  • Strive to grow professionally by taking guidance from management and actively engaging in multitasking.
  • Greet clients and on-site visitors in a friendly and respectful manner, determine the nature of their business, and announce guests to the appropriate personnel.
  • Order blueprints, surveys, and other necessary documents for home building permit applications.
  • Maintain permit tracking report and follow up on permit applications weekly.
  • Drop off/pick up homebuilding permit applications as needed. Reliable transportation required.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with customers, lenders, and Adams Homes team members.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Office Administrative experience, with experience in New Home Building as a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Programs: Word, Excel, Office, and computer literacy to manage workflow efficiently.
