Requirements

  • 5+ years of construction management experience.
  • The ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization to identify best practices and solutions.
  • Maintaining project organization
  • The ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Understand construction sequencing and constructability of multi-family buildings.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to train others.
  • Microsoft Word & Excel.

Preferred Skills but not required:

  • Revu BlueBeam.
  • Revit
  • AutoCad
  • Struct Soft

Responsibilities

  • Promote the substitution of materials and methods for less expensive alternatives, without sacrificing functionality.
  • Determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost-effective solutions.
  • Utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
  • Establish cost estimates of construction processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement.
  • Assess cost-effectiveness of processes and track actual costs relative to budget and report status on a regular basis to ensure costs are in line with forecasts.
  • Contribute to cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures and monitor trends.
  • Support all activities in cost estimating and take a proactive approach towards improvements.
  • Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.
  • Assists with design review options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
  • Research and recommend vendors and subcontractors for designated scopes of work to achieve pursuit and cost goals.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
