Summary

The Neurodiagnostic Technician performs neurodiagnostic testing across a variety of patient care settings and/or assists physicians/clinicians in the performance of these tests.

Responsibilities

The Neurodiagnostic Technician is responsible for:

  • Patient scheduling, preparation, and intraprocedural support.
  • Performing and documenting appropriate testing as ordered and as qualified to perform.
  • Appropriate procedural documentation.
  • Maintenance of supplies and equipment related to diagnostic performance.

Education

Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Graduate of an approved Electroneurodiagnostic program

Experience

Required: At least 1 to 2 years experience performing neurodiagnostic testing on all patient age groups in a healthcare setting

Certifications

Required: Registered, or registry eligible, with ASET (American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists), ABRET (American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic and Evoked Potential Technologists), or other Nationally recognized certification program for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists • BLS required upon hire
