THE ROLE

Stirling Dynamics is recruiting an Electronics Engineer to join the Electromechanical Design and Test team.

The ideal candidate will come from a product development background, predominantly working on electronic development. Ideally, the candidate will have experience of the product development lifecycle and will have a degree in electrical/electronic engineering. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Senior Engineers in the development life cycle of electronic equipment for predominantly Aerospace & Defence applications.

The ability to gain UK based security clearance to SC level is essential for this role. The primary focus of the role will be to support the design and development of the company active control products aimed at the aircraft simulator market.

This role will be based in our Bristol offices with occasional travel to our clients’ sites as required however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work remotely.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide technical and engineering know how to deliver projects
  • Work to process driven design using formal methods
  • Provide technical support to other engineering team members
  • Report to the Senior engineer for personal and technical development
  • Assist in the delivery of projects on time and on budget
  • Support hardware/software integration and testing
  • Test and validate prototype and production products

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Some experience working in the electronics industry preferable
  • Have a broad understanding of electronic disciplines, candidate will be expected to work on all aspects of the product life cycle with new and existing products
  • Knowledge of generic Analogue and Digital circuits and their design principles
  • ECAD experience, preferably Altium
  • Familiarity with version and source control for digital files

Pay & Benefits – Competitive Package (Grade 2 – 3, £22,000 – £37,000 dependent on experience)
