POSITION TITLE: Engineering Technician Level II - Electrician

DEPARTMENT: Engineering

GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H15 – Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Engineering Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including systems up to 600 volts. Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, including low voltage control systems. Install new systems and equipment in compliance with North Carolina Electrical code.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values

Ø Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, lighting, kitchen, and other electrical equipment

Ø Maintain records of maintenance and repairs using computerized maintenance programs

Ø Install new equipment and services as required

Ø Assist in fabrication of systems and components

Ø Competent with multi-meters, circuit tracers, and power monitors.

Ø Troubleshoot electrical equipment, low voltage control systems and systems with line voltage up to 600 volts

Ø Assist with maintenance, repairs and operation of the Casino and Hotel facilities and equipment.

Ø Abide by safety policies and report safety hazards to department supervisor(s) or manager

Ø Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions

Ø Respond to emergency and critical situations

Ø Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø High school diploma or GED required

Ø Associate degree (Technical), or Trade Diploma in Electrical, or an Electrical License equivalent to North Carolina’s 87-43.3. Classification of licenses, or 8 years’ experience as a Commercial, Industrial, Construction or Military Electrician

Ø 4 years commercial, industrial, construction or military electrical experience required. Apprenticeship experience considered

Ø Valid NC driver’s license with no suspended, denied, or revoked driver’s license within the last 3 years required

Ø Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

Ø Extensive knowledge of electrical distribution systems, three phase and single phase, up to 600 volts

Ø Ability to troubleshoot and install 3-phase electrical systems and equipment up to 600 volts.

Ø Ability to troubleshoot and repair low voltage control systems

Ø Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code; ability to install conduit, determine wire fill and calculate loads

Ø Proficient with multi-meters, power analyzers and circuit tracers

Ø Strong knowledge of generators, transfer switches and large switchboards

Ø Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and diagrams

Ø Ability to use technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment

Ø Ability to follow all safety guidelines including the proper use of personal protection equipment

Ø Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

Ø Ability to work independently, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ø Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes

Ø Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Ø Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino and surrounding property

Ø Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items

Ø Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs

Ø Must be able to work from ladders and aerial lifts

Ø Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with hand and power tools

Ø Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues

Ø Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Ø Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

Ø Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smoke

Ø Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
