Corteva has an exciting opportunity for an Enlist Field Specialist covering the Mid-South, (AR, KY, TN, MS) Eastern TX market. The Enlist Field Specialist will work closely with seeds stakeholders inside and outside of Corteva, and with retail partners, applicators and growers using Enlist herbicides. Will develop and provide product education and training to the field sales force that supports the Enlist Weed Control System. Provide stewardship training, working closely with product agronomists, field agronomists, territory managers and Sales Reps about the Enlist Weed Control System and drive one of the Company's largest launches in history. Will have close alignment with the Enlist marketing and technology specialist teams to support all Enlist weed control system business goals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Training

  • Implement Enlist classroom and webinar training emphasizing, weed resistance management (cross sell), field planning & on-target sprays.
  • Promote all Enlist crops (cotton, soybeans and corn) and differentiate the Enlist system from competitors.
  • Mitigate non-compliance with stewardship initiatives.

Service

  • Investigation & remediation for spray season issues.

Advocacy

  • Protect and promote positive reputation of Enlist system and Corteva with external stakeholders, including media, extension, state government representatives and industry associations.

Expertise

  • Local contact across seed and crop protection for Enlist, weed control & application technology.
  • Cross-sell for full Corteva herbicide program on Enlist acres (multiple SOA on acres).

Qualifications


Requirements:

What expertise have you grown?

  • Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Agronomy, Ag Sciences or other related majors is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Crop Protection advocacy, stewardship and training is required.
  • Current technical knowledge of herbicide trait systems, with ability to explain and defend Enlist technology.
  • Must have crop protection selling experience, with trait seed experience also preferred.
  • Excellent presentation & persuasion skills.
  • Ability to lead through influence with myriad stakeholders.
  • Accommodating summer schedule to be present where needed in territory to manage service tasks.
  • Ability to translate technical knowledge to understandable coaching for seed, retail and applicator audiences.
  • Ability to adhere to company talking points, positioning points and service policy requirements.
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize teams, projects and events.

What to Expect:

  • Annual calendar in your territory
    • Pre-spray season (Dec-April): Classroom training, external stakeholder training and coaching.
    • Spray season (May-Aug): Real-time spray help for applicators, issues management and technology demonstration.
    • Post-spray season (Sept-Nov): Key lessons learned from season; active advocacy – external stakeholder outreach; internal stakeholder training and coaching.
  • All year: special projects aligned to achieving Enlist business case metrics, impact beyond your territory.

Internal:

  • Pioneer, Crop Protection and PhytoGen – work across district sales leaders, territory managers, MDS/CDS/agronomist teams to enable trait and herbicide sales goal achievement in your territory.
  • Enlist marketing team – align with the marketing team to deliver on national goals for the Enlist system and business case for Enlist herbicides.
  • Enlist technology specialist team – share best practices; develop areas of expertise within the team and serve as subject matter expert; teamwork to drive best results across the U.S.

External:

  • Seeds stakeholders for non-Corteva brands.
  • Local association, grower groups.
  • Retail and distribution customers
  • Individual growers and applicators
  • Advocacy stakeholders, such as media and state government contacts

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $97,000 - $134,000 yearly. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
