Southern Exposure Gardens is a wedding and event venue with five acres of landscaped English gardens. We host a wide variety of events such as weddings, bridal showers, anniversary parties, workshops, specialty dining and more. Our outstanding customer service is one of the main reasons guests choose to host their events here. A beautiful workspace and a welcoming, team-oriented atmosphere is the reason our staff loves to work here. We currently have opportunities for a friendly and detail-oriented individual to join our Events team!

This is a great part-time position for extra money and to have the opportunity to be a part of creating special lifelong memories for our guests.

Base pay is $11.00 per hour plus tips for weddings and private events. Depending on the size of the events, this can increase to approximately $18-20 per hour.

Event Server Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the event.
• Supporting other staff to ensure guest satisfaction. We promote an “all hands on deck” atmosphere when it comes to providing the best possible service to our guests.
• Greet guests as they enter the venue and provide special instructions as needed.
• Maintain clear and open communication between all staff members for overall event success.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
• Maintain sense of urgency when on the service floor and respond appropriately to any concerns.
• Maintain positive and professional attitude.
• Maintain clean restrooms, with restroom checks frequently throughout the event.
• Follow Health and Safety practices at all times

Event Server Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old. Service experience is preferred but not required. We will provide all training needed to be successful.
• Courteous and attentive to guests.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to walk/stand long periods of times.
• Ability to carry serving trays.
• Reliable Transportation
