Job description

Valiant is currently seeking an Electronic Warfare / Electromagnetic Spectrum Task Lead to join our team at Langley AFB, Virginia. This position will provide vital technical and programmatic expertise to Air Combat Command, supporting its mission to organize, train, and equip ACC airmen for EMS dominance. The successful candidate will offer functional, administrative, and programmatic support to the ACC/A3/2/6KL EW/EMS Branch, ensuring the safeguarding of ACC/A3 interests in EW/EMS operations.

Position Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1. Communicate effectively with external organizations, agencies, and entities.

2. Build, manage, maintain, and update information systems and office continuity repositories.

3. Coordinate and schedule conferences, meetings, teleconferences, and special projects.

4. Perform administrative functions related to records management and official/classified media.

5. Support development, review, and coordination of Lead Wing Operations policy, management of operational deployments, and Global Force Management (GFM) activities and taskings.

6. Support readiness activities, including reviewing, coordinating, and preparing Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) reports.

7. Perform deliberate planning in crisis action planning using Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and the Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES).

8. Assist in establishing policy and guidance for operations training devices/simulators and other EW/EMS programs.

9. Support and coordinate with Air Force Functional Area Managers (FAMs), Weapon System Teams (WST), Program Managers (PMs), and System Program Offices (SPOs) for EW/EMS programs and equipment.

10. Assist in developing, reviewing, and coordinating EW and EMS training.

11. Support the development of EW and EMS range policy/sustainment and integration into Department of Defense (DoD) training ranges.

12. Support and participate in Combatant Command (CCMD), service, and sister-service exercises, and provide assistance for detailed oversight.

13. Provide support in the development and prioritization for EW/EMS reprogramming priorities and capabilities.

14. Support the development of ACC's roles, responsibilities, and oversight of Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2), Electromagnetic Battle Management (EMBM), and other EW/EMS programs.

15. Facilitate the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) for EW/EMS systems, flag events, CCMD, DoD exercises, and submit requests in the ACC Consolidated Planning System as necessary.


Required Qualifications:

1. Must possess an active TS//SCI clearance.

2. A minimum of 10 years of experience as an EC-130H/RC-135/EA-18G/EA-6B EW Officer.

3. At least 6 years of operational mission experience in DoD aircraft, performing duties as a rated aircrew member operating EW systems.

4. 5 years of operational experience in integrating EW, Cyber, Information Operations, Space, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) effects.

5. 5 years of experience managing DoD aircraft EW systems or related operations programs.

6. 10 years of experience as a graduated Weapons School Officer is preferred.

7. 2 years of wing or higher staff experience managing EW and EMS programs is desired


Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
